BURN THE WITCH Launches New Trailer for Blu-ray Release This Month

VIZ Media recently dropped a brand new dubbed trailer for the upcoming Blu-ray release of the limited anime series Burn the Witch. This series comes from Tite Kubo and I’ve heard it has some connections to his other major work, Bleach. I’ve been meaning to read the manga and watch the 3-episode anime for some time, so I am excited to see the new trailer. It looks like a lot of fun and it’s interesting that it’s set in London since I feel so many anime are set in Japan or Japan-inspired locales.

In this world, there is a “FRONT” side and a “REVERSE” side. Historically 72% of all the deaths in London are related to dragons, fantastical beings invisible to the majority of the people. While unknown to most, some people have been standing up to these dragons.

Only inhabitants of Reverse London who live in the hidden “reverse” side of London can see the dragons. Even then, only a selected few become qualified enough as witches or wizards to make direct contact with them. The protagonists of the story are witch duo Noel Niihashi and Ninny Spangcole. They are protection agents for Wing Bind (WB), an organization for dragon conservation and management. Their mission is to protect and manage the dragons within London on behalf of the people.

You can pre-order Burn the Witch on Blu-ray now from Amazon with an MSRP of $24.98 for the standard edition or $39.99 for a limited edition version. The Blu-ray is set to release on October 18.
