Butch Hartman is Creating a Streaming Service for Families

There are a lot of options out there for streaming content with more coming every year. There’s a new one on its way and it has a specific audience in mind: families. Butch Hartman will be most well known as the creator of The Fairly Oddparents and Danny Phantom. He’s wanting to create a new streaming service that is full of family friendly content. He plans on calling the service OAXIS, and although he wants to create the platform, he needs help.

Hartman created a Kickstarter for the project and is asking for $250,000 to help establish the base of the service. This base will include developing the actual platform as well as bringing in people to create original content for OAXIS. As of writing, the project has raised over $48,000. This is a great project that I hope we can all appreciate since there’s not too many platforms that make it hard for kids to stumble upon inappropriate content. In addition to featuring original content, it will have a feature that will allow users to upload their own media to share with others. I’ve enjoyed Hartman’s shows before, and I’m excited to see what comes from OAXIS.
