CALL OF DUTY: BLACK OPS COLD WAR Releases Trailer for Multiplayer

Treyarch recently dropped a trailer showing off the multiplayer aspects for the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Honestly, I think the trailer looks pretty, but isn’t a great trailer. We find out about some of the maps, but nothing about what the actual multiplayer game modes or options will entail. This very well could’ve been a single player trailer showing all the places you’ll go in your mission.

If you head on over to the official blog, they outline more about the different maps as well as the different modes. VIP Escort is a 6v6 objective mode where one player on each team will be deemed the VIP and the other teammates will be tasked with protecting them. Combined Arms is a 12v12 mode that is more like a modifier for other game modes like Domination that will allow players to use weapons and vehicles to win. Fireteam will be a 40-player game mode with up to 10 teams of 4 “where the action is centered around not just the operators in the field, but also the environment they battle in.”

I’m mostly excited since Black Ops Cold War will feature cross-play, cross-progression, cross-gen play, and more like Warzone integration. If you pre-order the game on PS4, you’ll gain early access to the open beta starting October 8 while Xbox One and PC players will have to wait until October 15. The full game will release on November 13.
