CALL OF DUTY MODERN WARFARE Will Support Crossplay
Call of Duty Modern Warfare will have crossplay across PC, PS4, and Xbox One. There are some more details below, but if you want to try out crossplay, you can participate in the open crossplay beta that starts this Thursday. The full game will release on the aforementioned platforms on October 25. Now, let’s get back to those details about crossplay.
First, you can enable or disable crossplay. Second, you’ll need a COD account. You can create one here if you don’t already have one. Third, in order to balance the game, you can filter your lobbies so that all players use the same control scheme (controller or keyboard and mouse) or you can have fun and not have any of these filters and go with the chaos. This means that controllers will be supported on PC and KBM configurations will be available on console. Fourth, your COD account will be used for Friends Lists and Parties for crossplay. Finally, all multiplayer modes except for Ranked Play and competitive tournaments will support crossplay.
In addition to all this goodness, Activision has revealed that most post-launch content will release across all three platforms simultaneously which only makes sense. Are you excited for Modern Warfare?
