Cameron Cuffe Cast as Superman's Grandpa in Syfy's KRYPTON

According to Variety, Cameron Cuffe has been cast in the role of Seg El in the Syfy series Krypton. Seg-El was the father of Jor-El, and Superman's grandpa. Cuffe is new to the Hollywood scene, having recently made an appearance in the Meryl Streep film Florence Foster Jenkins.

Cuffe looks a little young for the age I expected Seg-El to be, so it would appear that Jor-El will not be present in this series unless he's an infant or something. 

For those who may have forgotten, Krypton is the upcoming David Goyer drama highlighting the world of Krypton before it met its end. That's kind of confusing since the teaser picture of the show features the planet exploding, but I digress. The show will focus on the politics of Krypton and the competing "houses" of each Kryptonian family. For example, we already know the house of Zod will be featured in the series. 

This show still seems far off before we see anything concrete from it, but I'm excited with each and every new detail that emerges! Let's hope it doesn't suck!
