Canada's Pot Legalization Finally Made A Classic SIMPSONS Scene Make Sense
When it was announced Canada would be legalizing marijuana in its country I was super confused. All this time I thought it was already legal because The Simpsons said it in that episode where the guys went to Canada to get free prescriptions.
The scene has always felt weird to Canadians who knew the line wasn’t technically true, although enforcement has always been lax.
Now this whole scene feels like someone in The Simpsons’ writers room accidentally read too far ahead in the book of future history they kept stashed away and got their current events switched up.
