Capcom Shows Off MONSTER HUNTER RISE: SUNBREAK, RESIDENT EVIL Titles, and More at Capcom Showcase

Capcom recently held their Capcom Showcase. This event shared some information for a variety of games like a look at Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak which launches on June 30. The new trailer showed a revitalized version of the jungle from earlier games in the franchise, the return of Espinas the Thorn Wyvern from Monster Hunter Frontier, and Gore Magala from Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. Additional content is planned for Sunbreak with planned releases in the fall, winter, and even next year.

Resident Evil fans got quite a bit to enjoy. Resident Evil Village will be getting the Winters’ Expansion on October 28 which brings a 3rd person mode for the campaign; a continuation of the story in Shadows of Rose; and The Mercenaries Additional Orders with new stages and the addition of Chris Redfield, Heisenberg, and Lady Dimitrescu as playable characters.

Set 16 years after the events of Resident Evil Village, this new tale follows Rose Winters, the daughter of main protagonist Ethan, as she struggles with her terrifying powers. Players must explore and survive a warped and mysterious realm inside the consciousness of the Megamycete in search of a cure.

In addition, Resident Evil Village Gold Edition will launch on the same day and be a bundle that includes the main game and Winters’ Expansion. The multiplayer experience, Resident Evil Re:Verse will also launch on October 28 and is free to Resident Evil Village players. If you’re more excited about the recently announced Resident Evil 4 remake, an extended look was shared for the title launching March 24, 2023. Also, Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 7 biohazard are now ready to play on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S with enhanced resolution up to 4K, ray tracing, high frame rates, and 3D audio. This upgrade comes at no additional cost if you have the PS4 or Xbox One versions of the game. PC players also have access to these upgrades now as well.

Capcom also took some time to show off the new IP Exoprimal. You can head on over to the official site and register for the chance to participate in a closed network test on PC next month. Exoprimal looks like it could be fun.

Additional games that made appearances were Dragon’s Dogma, Street Fighter 6, and more. What was your favorite part of the stream?
