Capcom Shows Off New Trailers for Upcoming Titles at E3 2021
Capcom just had their E3 presentation and we’ve got a quick run of highlights for you to get caught up. I’ve included videos below for you to enjoy along with my thoughts as titles are revealed. Let us know your favorite part of the show down below.
Resident Evil Village kicks off the event. The game released only last month, but has done extremely well. Tsuyoshi Kanda thanked all the players and reminded fans about RE:Verse which will launch next month. It was then announced that new DLC for Village is now in the works although no details were given.
Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin took it from there. This is the story-driven branch of the Monster Hunter franchise and we got a new trailer. If you’re a fan of RPGs and turn-based combat, this looks like a great game to consider picking up. On July 15, there will be a new Palamute available and a new trial of the game will be available on June 25 with progress counting in the full game. Then, we saw more goodies that you can get like amiibo and bonuses for different editions of the game. The game launches on July 9 for Nintendo Switch.
If you prefer Monster Hunter Rise, we were informed of some goodies you’ll get in-game to celebrate Monster Hunter Stories 2. There was then a showcase of some downloadable event quests and their rewards like cool shades going live June 24. There’s also some new paid DLC that will become available on June 24.
Next is The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles which brings two prequel games to audiences in the West for the first time. We got a fun new trailer. We see Herlock Sholmes, a quick look at how the games play out, and it looks like a lot of fun. The game will be available on July 27 for Nintendo Switch, PC, and PS4. We also got a look at two new gameplay features the games are bringing to the franchise. Dance of Deduction combines Herlock’s deduction skills with your ability to figure out the flaws in his logic. Summation Examination will be used in the courtroom and allows you to see why each juror agrees with the verdict. You must then point out the contradicting points using evidence. This can change the minds of the jurors and help you win your cases.
Capcom concluded the event talking about eSports. This was led by Vicious and RobTV as they talked about what’s available for anyone interested in getting involved in the eSports scene. There will be 32 events this year to get ready for.
