CAPTAIN AMERICA: BRAVE NEW WORLD Is Going Through More Reshoots
Following the release of a new trailer, Captain America: Brave New World we’ve learned that Anthony Mackie is back on set for more reshoots.
Mackie has been spotted shooting new scenes for the movie in L.A. and you can see some photos of the actor on set below. There’s no word on how extensive the reshoots are, but they were scheduled after some recent test screenings that got negative reactions.
The first reactions that have come out say described as “inessential” and “flat.” An insider said: “Just heard back from like 3 people who went to see Captain America Brave New World test screening and WOOF. Movie sounds awful.”
Mackie also shared a new image from the film on Instagram that offers another look at Sam Wilson in his new Cap costume.
The photo came with the note: "Happy Veterans Day America. To all of our men and women in uniform, thank you for your service and sacrifice.”
In the film, “After meeting with newly elected U.S. President Thaddeus Ross, played by Harrison Ford in his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut, Sam finds himself in the middle of an international incident.
“He must discover the reason behind a nefarious global plot before the true mastermind has the entire world seeing red.”
Captain America: Brave New World stars Anthony Mackie, Danny Ramirez, Shira Haas, Xosha Roquemore, Carl Lumbly, with Giancarlo Esposito, Liv Tyler, and Tim Blake Nelson.
The film is directed by Julius Onah and produced by Kevin Feige and Nate Moore.
Captain America: Brave New World opens in U.S. theaters on February 14, 2025.
