CAPTAIN EO Might Be Coming to DISNEY INFINITY

As you know, Disney Interactive is gearing up to being the Star Wars universe to Disney Infinity 3.0. I had a chance to play a little bit of it at E3 last week, and it was a blast. It will fun to add to my kids' growing collection of Disney Infinity adventures.

Now it seems like somewhere down the line we will see another George Lucas property join the adventure. The studio is looking looking to bring in the world of the Francis Ford Coppola-directed Disneyland 3D short film Captain EO, which starred Michael Jackson and Anjelica Huston!

I freakin' loved Captain EO! Every time I went to Disneyland I had to watch it. It was just such a cool movie. You could watch it at Disneyland theme parks from 1986 to 1996. After Michael Jackson passed away, Disneyland brought it back and ran it as a tribute from 2010 to 2015.

Now it seems as though the legend of Captain EO will live on in Disney Infinity.  The news was confirmed by VP John Vignocchi. He says that he has secured the approval of Martin Scorsese, Lucas, and the Jackson estate to bring Captain EO into the game. Here's the tweet he sent out:

I was able to show my kids Captain EO during the tribute period, and they loved it. My 10-year-old little girl has also become a huge Michael Jackson fan in recent years, so there's no doubt that she's going to be why excited that he's going to be included in the game.

The film featured two songs by Jackson called “We Are Here to Change the World” and “Another Part of Me.” Hopefully they will be included in the game. I included the full movie below for you to watch if you want to relive the adventure.
