Captivating Teaser Trailer for Hulu's Mike Tyson Limited Series MIKE
A captivating teaser trailer has been released for the limited series Mike, about the career and personal life of the controversial heavyweight champion boxer Mike Tyson. The eight-episode Hulu series is described as “an unauthorized and no-holds-barred look at the life of Mike Tyson.” It explores the tumultuous ups and downs of Tyson’s boxing career and personal life – from being a beloved global athlete to a pariah and back again. Focusing the lens on Mike Tyson, the series examines class in America, race in America, fame and the power of media, misogyny, the wealth divide, the promise of the American Dream and ultimately our own role in shaping Mike’s story.
The series is written by Steven Rogers (Stepmom, I, Tonya), and directed by Craig Gillespie (Lars and the Real Girl, I, Tonya). Trevante Rhodes plays Tyson, and he is joined in the cast by Russell Hornsby, Harvey Keitel, Laura Harrier, and Li Eubanks.
This looks like a crazy well-done series that pulls no punches (no pun intended). Check out the trailer below, and watch Mike on Hulu starting August 25th.
