Carey Mulligan Joins Billie Eilish in Sylvia Plath's THE BELL JAR From Director Sarah Polley
Oscar and Emmy nominee Carey Mulligan (Promising Young Woman, Beef) has joined the cast of director Sarah Polley’s (Women Talking) film adaptation of Sylvia Plath’s famed novel The Bell Jar.
The project will mark the film acting debut of global pop star Billie Eilish. It’s been reported that Mulligan will play Mrs. Greenwood, mother to Eilish’s protagonist Esther Greenwood.
Plan B, Studiocanal and Joy Coalition are producing the project, which is also rumored to include Heated Rivalry star Connor Storrie in its ensemble.
The studio has not made an official announcement regarding the project, but with this cast and crew attached, it looks like the movie is shaping up to be a big hit.
