Carey Mulligan Set to Star in FINGERNAILS From APPLES Director Christos Nikou
Carey Mulligan has signed on to star in the upcoming film Fingernails, from Greek director Christos Nikou, “whose current movie Apples premiered at the 2020 Venice Film Festival and is Greece’s submission in the International Feature Oscar race.” Mulligan is coming off her incredible performance in Promising Young Woman, and has also been in the films An Education, Drive, and Suffragette. She signed on to this project after seeing the director’s latest film.
Fingernails “follows Anna (Mulligan), who increasingly suspects that her relationship with her longtime partner may not actually be the real thing. In an attempt to improve things, she secretly embarks on a new assignment working at a mysterious institute designed to incite and test the presence of romantic love in increasingly desperate couples.”
I am a huge fan of Mulligan, and I am excited to see her in this project. Fingernails is in development, and we will let you know when we hear more.
