Carl Weathers Has Reportedly Been Cast in THE MANDALORIAN
There’s still so much that we don’t know about Jon Favreau’s live-action Star Wars series The Mandalorian, but since it’s been announced we have been getting little details here and there regarding the series.
Now we’ve recently learned from Making Star Wars that Carl Weathers, who played Apollo Creed in the Rocky films and also starred in Predator, has been cast in the series. There’s no information on who he might be playing in the series, but it will be pretty cool if this report turns out to be true! I’d love to see Weathers in action in the Star Wars universe!
What are your thoughts on the possibility of Carl Weathers playing a character in the upcoming live-action Star Wars series?
Here’s the synopsis that was released for it:
After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Warsuniverse. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.
The series will be directed by Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars), Deborah Chow (Jessica Jones), Rick Famuyiwa (Dope), Bryce Dallas Howard (Solemates), and Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok).
It’s also said that Howard will be in the series that Waititi will provide the voice of a droid character.
The series will premiere on Disney+ but there’s no release date yet.
