Carrie-Anne Moss Is Set to Reprise Her JESSICA JONES Role on IRON FIST
Carrie-Anne Moss will be reprising her Marvel universe role as lawyer Jeri Hogarth in the upcoming Netflix series Iron Fist. The character was first introduced to us in the Jessica Jones series, and she even briefly appeared in Daredevil's second season.
The news comes from Marvel, who says that she will provide Danny Rand (Finn Jones) with help as he returns to New York. Executive Producer and Head of Marvel Television Jeph Loeb had this to say in a statement:
“Carrie-Anne has fast become a fan-favorite part of our street level saga, and we share our viewers’ excitement in bringing her into Marvel’s Iron Fist. As Marvel fans know, Hogarth in the comics plays a critical role in the life of Danny Rand so it seems only fitting that Carrie-Anne join in.”
Since that is the case, it seems like there’s a good chance she’ll have a decent sized role to play in Iron Fist. Executive Producer and Showrunner, Scott Buck goes on to explain:
“Danny Rand lives in the highest stratosphere of New York’s business society and he’s going to need a ruthless lawyer to help him navigate this alien world. I’m very happy to have the opportunity to bring Carrie-Ann Moss as Jeri Hogarth into Marvel’s Iron Fist.”
Moss will also join Jessica Henwick, who is playing Colleen Wing, David Wenham as Harold Meachum, Jessica Stroup as Joy Meachum, and Tom Pelphrey as Ward Meachum.
In “Marvel’s Iron Fist,” Danny Rand returns to New York City after being missing for years, trying to reconnect with his past and his family legacy. He fights against the criminal element corrupting his world around him with his incredible kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist.
Iron Fist is currently shooting in New York City, and I’m sure that it will turn out to be another great Marvel and Netflix collaboration. If you want, you can check out some set photos here.
