Carrie Coon Plays Proxima Midnight in AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR and Two Other New Cast Members

Disney and Marvel continue to keep much about Avengers: Infinity War secret, while giving just enough to keep fans excited about it. Today’s dose of excitement comes from an interview with RadioTimes where Anthony and Joe Russo revealed the identities of three members of Thanos’ Black Order.

First, they confirmed that Ebony Maw was being voiced by Irish actor Tom Vaughan-Lawlor. Then they announced that the only female member of the Black Order, Proxima Midnight, would be played by The Leftovers and Mindhunter star Carrie Coon. Finally, they mentioned that Terry Notary would be playing and voicing (even though the character doesn’t speak much) Cull Obsidian. Fans of the comics will know him as Black Dwarf. They did not reveal who would be playing the fourth member, Corvus Glaive, who in the comics is married to Proxima Midnight.

We’ve already seen a clip of Ebony Maw torturing Doctor Strange (played by Benedict Cumberbatch) with many believing his mission is twofold: get the Time Stone, and find out where the other Infinity Stones are. The question is, what role will the other members of the Black Order have in the film?

Avengers: Infinity War releases April 27, 2018.
