Cartoon Style Evolution of Robert Downey Jr. By Jeff Victor

Jeff Victor’s latest piece of "Evolution" art takes us through the glorious career of Robert Downey Jr. Like many of you, I was a fan of Downey Jr. before Jon Favreau resurrected his career with Iron Man. Out of all of Downey Jr.'s films, my number one favorite is Chaplin. I remember watching him in that movie when it was in theaters and just sitting there in awe of how he brought Charlie Chaplin to life. Another one of my favorite of his pre-Iron Man roles was Paul Avery in David Fincher’s Zodiac. That was one of those films that made me wonder why he wasn’t working more. The guy is an awesome actor, and this is what the artist had to say about him:

What can I say...I love RDJ. What an incredible career this fine actor has had. Possibly even the greatest comeback story in Hollywood history. Older readers will recall seeing him as a comic presence in such films as Weird Science and Back to School. Downey Jr then showed us his dark side with Less Than Zero. A few years later, he was Oscar nominated for the title role in Chaplin. After a long, difficult battle with substance abuse, he roared back into the spotlight as Tony Stark in Iron Man, now his signature role. Reportedly one of the nicest guys in Hollywood, RDJ continues to take on new challenges as an actor, and I can't wait to see what he does next.
