Cary Elwes Has Signed On to Co-Star in BEST SELLERS Alongside Michael Caine and Aubrey Plaza
Cary Elwes (The Princess Bride, Saw) has signed on to star in the film Best Sellers alongside Michael Caine (The Cider House Rules, Batman Begins) and Aubrey Plaza (Safety Not Guaranteed, Parks and Recreation), as well as Ellen Wong (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, GLOW) and Scott Speedman (Felicity, Animal Kingdom).
Deadline has provided the following synopsis and character description:
Movie follows Caine as a has-been author on a wild book tour with his young editor played by Plaza. She’s trying to save her father’s boutique publishing house, but Caine’s character would prefer to live out his days with a bottle of scotch, a cigar and his orange Tabby cat. Elwes will play Halpren Nolan, a New York Times book critic.
The film is based on the original screenplay by Anthony Grieco, and is being directed by Lina Roessler in her feature directorial debut. Production on the film has begun in Montreal. The cast is great, and the story sounds like it could be interesting. Are you intrigued?
