Cary Elwes Says MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - DEAD RECKONING Is "The Biggest Film in the Franchise"
Tom Cruise has been creating a lot of hype for the next installment of the Mission: Impossible franchise, Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning, with all of his crazy-ass stunt videos. We’ve got footage of a plane stunt that he is doing for the movie and, of course, there’s the insane stunt where he races a motorcycle off a cliff into a base jump. It’s said to be “The Biggest Stunt in Cinema History.”
Just in case you need a little more hype to sell you on the movie, Cary Elwes offers high praise for the movie in an interview with Empire, saying: "The scale of the picture is extraordinary; I think that it will be the biggest film in the franchise."
I guess that’s not surprising to learn, as every movie that’s been made in the franchise has been bigger than the last. There’s still not much known about the story, but the first trailer released teases some big threats that Ethan Hunt will find himself up against.
Elwes also talked about joining the movie and working with Cruise saying: "It was the first time that I'd worked with Tom Cruise in 31 years, so that was a nice call to get. He has this incredible work ethic; he is very focused and hard working, and he expects everybody else to work at that same level."
Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning was directed by Christopher McQuarrie and it also stars Hayley Atwell, Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Vanessa Kirby, and Henry Czerny along with newcomers Shea Whigham (Joker), Pom Klementieff (Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Avengers: Infinity War) and Esai Morales (La Bamba, Titans), Charles Parnell, Indira Varma (Game of Thrones), and Mark Gatiss. Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation), Janet McTeer (Tumbleweeds, Albert Nobbs), and Holt McCallany (Mindhunter, Nightmare Alley).
Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One and Part Two will be released on July 14th, 2023, and June 28th, 2024. You can watch the teaser trailer for the movie here.
