Casey Jones has a Different Origin Story in NINJA TURTLES 2

The one thing about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 that I'm ok with is that Arrow star Stephen Amell was cast as Casey Jones. He's a perfect choice for the character! I just wish it was under better circumstances.

The first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot was one the worst movie that I saw last year. It was so bad that I have zero excitement for the sequel. The studio is hoping fans will come back to see more crap, so they've added a few fan favorite characters that include Jones, Bebop (Gary Anthony Williams), and Rocksteady (Stephen Farrelly).

Regardless of who they throw into the sequel, the movie is still going to suck. Amell recently did an interview with IGN in which he reveals that the Casey Jones in this film is going to have a different origin story than the one fans already know.

This is what Amell had to say about the new version of Jones:

“It’s certainly not your father’s or your younger self’s Casey Jones, but that’s because we meet him at a very different time in his development. He is not the Casey Jones that a lot of comic fans have come to know and love. He is a guy with a job that lives in New York and loves hockey. When things go awry, [and] when he goes through the normal methods of what someone would do when they’re [a] law-abiding citizen and he’s met with laughter and scorn… he decides to take things into his own hands.”

The actor also previously revealed that the character will be driving around a Dodge Hellcat Challenger. That's a pretty awesome piece of automotive machinery, but it's not going to make the movie any better!

The fact that they are changing up Jones' character is fine. It's not going to ruin my childhood because the first film already did that. I simply don't care about these TMNT films. I don't think there's anything anyone can say to me to make care either.

As you know, I'm normally not such a negative nelly about movies, but this rebooted franchise just rubbed me the wrong way, and it will feel my wrath.
