Catherine O'Hara Rumored to Be in Talks to Join Season 2 of HBO's THE LAST OF US
Catherine O’Hara is rumored to be in talks to take on a role in the upcoming 2nd season of The Last of Us at Max. O’Hara is best known for her roles in classic comedies like Home Alone, A Mighty Wind, Beetlejuice, Best in Show, and so many more, as well as my favorite show, Schitt’s Creek. She’s simply the best in everything she’s in, so this would be a huge win for the show.
According to industry scooper Daniel Richtman, O'Hara is in talks to join the series as the character Gail, who will seemingly appear in three episodes. The role of Gail is one that isn't from The Last of Us Part II video game, so we don’t know if she would be an ally of Joel and Ellie, or if she would take on a darker part. Showrunners Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann introduced some great original characters in the first season, so it’s exciting to hear about what’s coming up.
O'Hara hasn't officially signed on just yet, so the part isn’t set in stone with her in the role. The Last of Us Season 2 is slated to start production in the spring, and will hit HBO in 2025.
