CBS Renews THE EQUALIZER Series Starring Queen Latifah for Season 2

CBS has renewed its new series The Equalizer for a second season. The show stars Queen Latifah as “as an enigmatic woman with a mysterious background who uses her extensive skills to help those with nowhere else to turn.” She is joined in the cast by Chris Noth, Lorraine Toussaint, Tory Kittles, Liza Lapira, and Laya DeLeon Hayes.

The hour-long drama premiered last month in the coveted post-Super Bowl time slot, and has since retained a pretty solid fanbase tuning in each Sunday. The show is based on the original series of the same name that aired on CBS between 1985 and 1989. The title was then turned into a two-picture film deal with Denzel Washington in the starring role.

It sounds like Latifah is doing a great job in the role, and a second season is well-deserved and anticipated by the fans. Are you looking forward to another season of this series?
