Oregon Museum of Science and Industry will be helping Laika celebrate their 15 year anniversary by screening all 5 of it’s films from October 15-31. In addition to these screenings, you can visit their pop up exhibit that will feature puppets and sets from each movie. Also, there will be a question and answer event with key filmmakers. Here’s the lineup of guests to expect:

  • Friday, October 15: Ollie Jones, Director of Practical Effects

  • Saturday, October 16: Nelson Lowry, Production Designer

  • Sunday, October 17: Steve Emerson, VFX Supervisor

  • Friday, October 22: Chris Butler, ParaNorman and Missing Link Writer/Director

  • Saturday, October 23: Brian McLean, Director of Rapid Prototyping (3D Printing)

  • Sunday, October 24: Brad Schiff, Animation Supervisor

  • Friday, October 29: Steve Emerson, VFX Supervisor

  • Saturday, October 30: Arianne Sutner, Head of Production/Producer

Sounds like a pretty cool event to attend. I love Laika movies and wish I lived in Oregon so that I could actually take a look at some of this stuff and watch my favorites on the big screen again. You can book your tickets for this event here.
