Celebrity Chef Anthony Bourdain Dead At 61

Celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain has died at age 61. The host of Parts Unknown and producer of various other cooking shows was found dead in a French hotel room of an apparent suicide. Deadline reports Bourdain was found by a close friend in his room in Strasbourg, France, just prior to meeting up with the crew to start production for that day. Various reports have said Bourdain had hung himself.

Bourdain was known as a staunch food critic whose rock and roll persona made him one of television's most entertaining chefs to watch. As a fan of Bourdain's work, as well as various other shows he's had a hand in like PBS' The Mind of a Chef, this is a hard one to take. You will be missed Bourdain.
