Channing Tatum Is Looking to Develop a Reimagining of the Classic '90s Film GHOST

Channing Tatum has revealed that he has the rights to the classic Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore 90s supernatural romance film Ghost, and he’s looking to develop a reimagining of it. I can’t say that I’m surprised. I’m actually more surprised by the fact that someone hasn’t already tried to remake this movie!

It’s been a long time since I’ve watched Ghost, and now I think I need to revisit it. This is one of those movies that I loved when I was younger! I was fascinated by the story and its supernatural elements. Also, it was a fun movie filled with great humor. I especially enjoyed that crazy ending of the film, though! Sam kills the people involved with his death and they are horrifically dragged screaming into Hell by a hoard of demons!

The film follows a couple, Sam and Molly, who are madly in love with each other. Sam ends up being murdered, and his spirit stays behind to solve his murder and warn Molly of impending danger, with the help of a reluctant psychic played by Whoopi Goldberg.

Tatum shared the news in a recent interview with Vanity Fair saying, "We actually have the rights. Yeah, we have the rights to Ghost. But we're going to do something different. I think it needs to change a little bit."

It’ll be interesting to see what kind of things they end up changing as they develop it. The first movie was so good, though, I’m not sure sure there can be much improvement, other than with the special effects. Regardless, Tatum is the perfect actor to step into the role of Sam.

What do you all think about Channing Tatum developing a reimagining of Ghost?
