Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill & Ice Cube in Talks to Return For Sequel 24 JUMP STREET

21 Jump Street franchise producer Neal H. Moritz has confirmed that the sequel 24 Jump Street is finally officially in the works, sharing a photo of the script’s cover page, which clarifies the title, and makes a joke at the reason 23 was skipped. “It took so long we had to make, we had to skip one,” reads the sequel’s tagline.

Now, they just have to get the actors aligned. Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill and Ice Cube are in talks to return for a third installment.

Fans have been waiting for more than a decade, but it seems everything is ready to go with Rodney Rothman directing from a script he wrote with Hill and Meghan Malloy. The first two films’ directors, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, are stepping back to produce the film this time around.

Based on the 1987-1991 Fox series, 21 Jump Street (2012) and 22 Jump Street (2014) follow Schmidt (Hill) and Jenko (Tatum) as they go undercover at a high school to infiltrate a drug ring while working at the titular police program.

The sequel saw them assigned to a case on a college campus, with the two movies surpassing $500 million at the global box office.
