Channing Tatum to Join Sandra Bullock in THE LOST CITY OF D

Channing Tatum is going to star alongside Sandra Bullock in an upcoming romantic adventure comedy titled The Lost City of D. Ryan Reynolds was originally attached to the film, but that’s obviously no longer the case. Tatum is in final negotiations.

Bullock will play “a reclusive romance novelist who was sure nothing could be worse than getting stuck on a book tour with her cover model (Tatum), until a kidnapping attempt sweeps them both into a cutthroat jungle adventure, proving life can be so much stranger — and more romantic — than any of her paperback fictions.”

The film is set up at Paramount Pictures and they have hired Adam and Aaron Nee to direct it. The Nee brothers previously worked on films such as Band of Robbers and The Last Romantic. They are also attached to direct Masters of the Universe for Sony Pictures.

The Lost City of D is based on a story concept by Seth Gordon, who will produce, with a script written by Dana Fox (Disney Plus’ Cruella and How to Be Single).

Tatum recently wrapped production on his directorial debut Dog, which he both starred and co-directed with his producing partner Reid Carolin. That film follows an Army Ranger and Belgian Malinois named Lulu who embark on a road trip to a fellow soldier’s funeral.
