Channing Tatum to Star in and Produce '70s Crime Thriller

Movie Channing Tatum by Joey Paur

Channing Tatum is set to star in and produce a 1970s crime thriller for Sony Pictures. There's no title for the film yet, but according to THR it tells the "inspiring true story of an ordinary family man who decides to risk everything by going undercover to take down the biggest mob boss in the country."

I'm a big fan of 70s crime thrillers, and it would be great if they made this movie like some of those classics. They had a great way of telling stories back then, and I loved the style.

This should be a solid project for Tatum to take on. I never thought I would like the guy as an actor, but he's been making some really solid films recently. It will be interesting to see how this one turns out.

Tatum will next be seen in 22 Jump Street, which opens June 13th; Jupiter Ascending, which opens July 18th; and Foxcatcher opposite Steve Carrell. He also plans to shoot Magic Mike XXL, which he also co-wrote.
