Upwind is a narrative RPG set in a world that sounds a lot like Castle in the Sky. You’ve got floating island nations, flying sailing ships, long lost technology, and more.

The game itself uses the Q system which is “an original stakes-based, playing card-driven mechanic that gives every encounter consequences with meaningful, narrative-building outcomes. With its unique bidding rules, Upwind plays as fast as you can tell your story.”

Upwind is a narrative style RPG set in a strange alternate world of floating island nations, flying sailing ships, long-lost technology, wild elemental powers, looming war and forgotten legacies.

Nocturnal Media and Biohazard produced Upwind and ran a very successful Kickstarter, and now Chaosium has joined them as a distributor. You can now purchase your own copy of the RPG from Chaosium if you missed the Kickstarter with PDF versions of the book costing $14.99 and Hardcover copies running for $44.99
