Character Posters for Mark Millar's Upcoming Netflix Series JUPITER'S LEGACY
Last week Netflix released the first trailer for its series adaptation of Mark Millar’s comic book Jupiter’s Legacy, and it ended up getting a mixed reaction from fans. I really don’t have any expectations for this show, but I’ll give it a shot and see how it goes.
Jupiter’s Legacy is a multigenerational drama that follows the world’s first generation of superheroes, who received their powers in the 1930s. In the present day, they’re the revered elder guard, but their superpowered children struggle to live up to the legendary feats of their parents.
Netflix has now shared a few character posters from the series. They feature Josh Duhamel (Transformers) as Sheldon Sampson/The Utopian. He is the “storied leader of the superhero team The Union. But times have changed, and he doesn’t understand the world we live in anymore. Or his own family.” Duhamel is joined by Ben Daniels as Walter Sampson/Brainwave, Leslie Bibb as Grace Sampson/Lady Liberty, Elena Kampouris as Chloe Sampson, and Andrew Horton as Brandon Sampson/Paragon.
As you’ll see, the posters come with a different tagline for each character.
The synopsis reads:
"After nearly a century of keeping mankind safe, the world's first generation of superheroes must look to their children to continue the legacy. But tensions rise as the young superheroes, hungry to prove their worth, struggle to live up to their parents' legendary public reputations — and exacting personal standards. Based on the graphic novels by Mark Millar and Frank Quitely, Jupiter's Legacy is an epic superhero drama that spans decades and navigates the complex dynamics of family, power, and loyalty."
The first season of Jupiter's Legacy consists of eight episodes and it premieres on Netflix on May 7th.
