Character Posters for the Upcoming Medieval Fantasy Film THE GREEN KNIGHT
We’ve got a collection of character posters to share with you for director David Lowery’s upcoming medieval fantasy film The Green Knight. Lowery is the director behind Ain’t Them Bodies Saints, Pete’s Dragon, A Ghost Story, and The Old Man & The Gun. This is a different film genre for him to play in, but it looks great and I’m excited to see it.
Dev Patel stars in the film as Sir Gawain, “King Arthur’s reckless and headstrong nephew, who embarks on a quest to confront the eponymous Green Knight, a gigantic green-skinned stranger.”
Here’s the official synopsis:
An epic fantasy adventure based on the timeless Arthurian legend, THE GREEN KNIGHT tells the story of Sir Gawain (Dev Patel), King Arthur’s reckless and headstrong nephew, who embarks on a daring quest to confront the eponymous Green Knight, a gigantic emerald-skinned stranger and tester of men. Gawain contends with ghosts, giants, thieves, and schemers in what becomes a deeper journey to define his character and prove his worth in the eyes of his family and kingdom by facing the ultimate challenger. From visionary filmmaker David Lowery comes a fresh and bold spin on a classic tale from the knights of the round table.
In addition to Patel, The Green Knight features Joel Edgerton, Barry Keoghan, Ralph Ineson, Alicia Vikander, and Sean Harris.
The movie will be released next summer on July 30th, 2021.
