Charlie Cox Says DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN Is a "Whole New Thing" and "It's a Season 1, Not a Season 4"
When Marvel announced Daredevil: Born Again, fans have been wondering if this would be a continuation of the Netflix series or a reboot of sorts. Well, series star Charlie Cox has an answer for us, saying this new Daredevil series is going to be something new.
In an interview with ExtraTV at D23 Expo, Cox was asked if the series would be a continuation of the Netflix show, and he said, “I don’t know anything. I haven’t seen a script… My feeling is, based on the title Born Again, I think that the sense is it is a new beginning, it is going to be different, it is going to be totally different. It is going to be new stories, and new ideas.”
But, then he revealed something that Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige told him and this pretty much clears some things up: “It is a Season 1, it is not Season 4, so it is a whole new thing. Which I think is the way to go. If you are going to do it again, do it differently.”
So, there ya go. I’m excited about the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again series, but I’m also kind of nervous. Those first three seasons of Daredevil are awesome! I rewatched them recently, and I can only hope this new series will be as good, gritty, and hardcore as the Netflix series.
What do you think about the direction that Daredevil: Born Again is headed? Daredevil: Born Again is expected to drop in spring 2024.
