Charlie Cox Says His DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN Series Might Start From the Beginning and Do a True to Comic Reboot
Fans have been very excited ever since Disney and Marvel announced the reboot of Netflix’s Daredevil series that was originally made for Netflix and starred Charlie Cox. Once Cox showed up in the MCU as Matt Murdoch, aka Daredevil, in Spider-Man: No Way Home, we knew it was official, and we had a lot to look forward to. So far, Disney and Marvel have kept pretty quiet about what we can expect from the new series, and while Cox doesn’t know (or at least can’t tell us if he does), he has speculated a bit about what the story might cover.
Cox recently sat down for an interview with Entertainment Tonight (via The Direct), and he talked about the series starting from scratch, saying:
"What's great about that is that we potentially get to tell some of the stories over and over again in the same way that they do in the comics, you know. Every now and again, they start back at the beginning of Murdock's journey as a little boy and they tell the whole origin story again. So maybe we'll get to do that, I don't know."
Cox also talked about the series reboot to extraTV at D23 Expo, saying:
"It is a Season 1, it is not Season 4, so it is a whole new thing. Which I think is the way to go. If you are going to do it again, do it differently."
The title, Daredevil: Born Again, certainly suggests that we are going to get something totally different. The series is expected to drop spring 2024. Are you excited for a new Daredevil story?
