Charlie Cox Says He Hopes He Gets to Play Daredevil in the MCU "Loads More"
Charlie Cox returned to the role of Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, the crime-fighting lawyer, in Spider-Man: No Way Home. We hadn’t seen him playing the blind badass since the end of his Netflix series, Daredevil, but in December, we also got to see the superhero’s nemesis, Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio) return to the MCU in the Disney+ series, Hawkeye.
In No Way Home, Cox played Peter Parker’s lawyer, who just happened to catch a brick that was thrown through Parker and Aunt May’s window. When asked how he did that, he replied that he’s a “really good lawyer.” It was so fun to see him back, and I hope that was the first of many appearances in the MCU.
When talking about the possibility of returning to the role in a video for Supernova Comic Con, Cox said:
"To be asked to come back and be involved in any capacity is absolutely thrilling to me… I hope I get to do loads more for many years. I hope it never ends."
While Cox admitted he "doesn’t know what [Marvel]’s plans are," he alluded to the fact that Marvel Studios has a fondness for crossovers, saying:
"I can now interact with other MCU characters. That would be really cool. Crossovers would be really cool… I don’t know what that looks like and what they’re planning, but there are some really interesting stories there that I’d love the character to explore."
The fans would love that as well! I think these two appearances from the Netflix Marvel universe are just the beginning, and I’m so excited, because Charlie Cox is such a great Daredevil! What crossovers would you like to see the actor in?
