Charlie Cox Talks About Matt Murdock Being at His Lowest Point in DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN Season 3
Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, was left at rock bottom at the end of season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again, with the vigilante unmasked, exposed, and thrown in jail.
When we meet back up with him, we will see how he’s coping under the circumstances, and according to Charlie Cox, the Marvel actor who portrays the antihero, we will find him at his lowest point.
In an interview at New York Comic Con, which you can check out below, Cox opened up about what Matt is going through at the start of this upcoming, final season of the series. He explained, “Despite the fact that [Matt] has rid New York of Wilson Fisk and he has paid a heavy price for that, he’s still tormented. He’s still grumpy about a lot of things.”
He went on, “You know, what’s fun about season 3 is we get to see him in a whole new environment. You know, what prison does to a man like Matt Murdock is very interesting, I think.
“He’s confronted with not just being an utter failure at everything he’s tried to do, but also he’s now lost a huge part of his identity. He’s no longer operating Daredevil. He’s no longer a lawyer. So, there’s a lot of juicy stuff there.”
It will be interesting to see how this final season unfolds. Hopefully we will finally see Daredevil take down Kingpin for good. Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 is set to premiere on Disney+ in March 2027.
