Charlie Hunnam Reveals He's Signed on to Produce TRIPLE FRONTIER Sequel at Netflix
Netflix’s 2019 action thriller, Triple Frontier, was a favorite among fans. The film was written by Mark Boal (Hurt Locker ) and the directed by J.C. Chandor (A Most Violent Year), and it starred Ben Affleck, Oscar Isaac, Charlie Hunnam and Garrett Hedlund, who played a group of friends and former special forces operatives who reunite to take down a South American drug lord, unleashing a chain of unintended consequences. It was a great movie, and it looks like we are going to get another one.
In a recent interview with The Mary Sue, star Charlie Hunham revealed that he is boarding the sequel as a producer this time around, and telling the outlet:
“Nothing guaranteed, but I just set up recently as the main producer on a potential sequel to Triple Frontier at Netflix. So we’re working on that. It’s in its absolute infancy, but I feel like I’ve got a lot more to say about the sort of after life of military personnel. I’m really hopeful.”
It’s cool to hear that Hunnam is returning to produce. Hopefully that means he is returning to star as well. Are you looking forward to Triple Frontier 2?
