Charlize Theron Joins Christopher Nolan's Next Film at Universal

Academy award-winning actress Charlize Theron (Monster, Mad Max: Fury Road) is the latest star to join the ensemble cast of Christopher Nolan’s next film at Universal.

The director has already locked in an impressive group of actors that includes Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong’o and Robert Pattinson.

Details about the highly-anticipated film’s plot remain tightly under wraps and sources say that loglines or descriptions of the film that have been published to date are not correct.

The studio and Nolan’s follow-up to their Oscar-winning drama Oppenheimer is projecting a production start date sometime in the first half of 2025.

Universal has set a July 17, 2026 theatrical release date for the feature, along with a dedicated rollout in Imax auditoriums.
