Intense Trailer for HBO Max's CHARM CITY KINGS About Baltimore Dirt-Bikers
Charm City Kings is a Sundance award-winning film coming to HBO Max next month. The film comes from WarnerMax, and the trailer makes it look very intense as a coming-of-age drama.
The film stars Jahi Di’Allo Winston, Meek Mill, Will Catlett, Donielle Hansley, Kezii Curtis, Chino, Lakeyria “Wheelie Queen” Doughty, and Teyonah Parris and comes from director Angel Manuel Soto and writer Sherman Payne. The story itself comes from Chris Boyd, Kirk Sullivan, and Barry Jenkins.
The story follows 14-year-old Mouse (Winston) who “desperately wants to join the Midnight Clique, an infamous group of Baltimore dirt-bike riders who rule the summertime streets. His older brother, Stro, was their top rider before his tragic death—a loss that consumes Mouse as much as his passion for bikes. Mouse's mom (Parris) and his police mentor, Detective Rivers (Catlett), work overtime to help the charismatic teen reach his full potential, but when the Midnight Clique’s leader, Blax (Mill), takes the boy under his wing, the lure of revving his own dirt bike skids Mouse toward a road way past the straight and narrow.”
You can stream Charm City Kings on HBO Max starting October 8th.
