Charming New Poster Released For BUMBLEBEE
I'm actually really excited about seeing director Travis Knight's Bumblebee movie. Everything that I've seen from it has been great! Not only does it visually look awesome, but it looks like there's actually a coherent story to follow!
Today we've got a new poster to share with you featuring Bumblebee and Hailee Steinfeld as Charlie. Here's the synopsis:
On the run in the year 1987, Bumblebee finds refuge in a junkyard in a small Californian beach town. Charlie (Hailee Steinfeld), on the cusp of turning 18 and trying to find her place in the world, discovers Bumblebee, battle-scarred and broken. When Charlie revives him, she quickly learns this is no ordinary, yellow VW bug.
We also recently learned a few new details about the film at Comic-Con that got fans excited. We learned that Bumblebee has escaped from Cybertron to Earth and he's being hunted down by a Decepticon jet. We thought this jet from the trailers was Starscream, but it's not. It's another Decepticon named Blitzwing.
We also learned that two other Decepticon villains, Shatter and Dropkick, who are voiced by Angela Basset and Justin Theroux are also hunting Bumblebee, and they team up with the U.S. military to try to catch him, which is where John Cena comes in. These characters are triple-changer transformers! They turn into muscle cars, as well as a Harrier jet and helicopter.
We also know that the generation one Optimus Prime will show up in some capacity. We know for sure that he'll show up as a hologram because I saw that in some footage, but I'm hoping to see him show up in another way to help Bumblebee at some point. We'll just have to wait and see.
