Charming Trailer for the Disney+ Film BLACK BEAUTY with Kate Winslet and Mackenzie Foy

Disney+ has released the trailer for its film adaptation of Anna Sewell‘s 19th-century book Black Beauty. The film tells the story of a young girl who forms an unbreakable bond with a horse named Beauty.

The movie was directed by Ashley Avis from a script that she wrote. The film has a solid cast which includes Mackenzie Foy in the lead role of Jo Green, Iain Glen playing Jo’s uncle, Claire Forlani in the role of Mrs. Winthrop, and Kate Winslet lending her voice to the horse, Beauty.

This looks like a wonderful family film that was beautifully made. It the kind of film that the whole family can get together to watch and enjoy during the Thanksgiving holiday. The movie looks like it has some of the old-school classic Disney charm.

Here’s the official synopsis and poster for Black Beauty:

This modern-day reimagining of Anna Sewell’s timeless classic, follows Black Beauty (Kate Winslet), a wild horse born free in the American West. Rounded up and taken away from her family, Beauty is brought to Birtwick Stables where she meets a spirited teenage girl, Jo Green (Mackenzie Foy).
