Detective Pikachu has no right to look as good as it does. There’s no reason it should look like the joy it does. Well, Warner Bros. has released four more TV spots for the film that highlight the relationship between Detective Pikachu (played by Ryan Reynolds) and Tim (Justice Smith). My favorite is the first one that shows Tim trying to talk to a Lucy (Kathryn Newton) and failing.

“A young man joins forces with Detective Pikachu to unravel the mystery behind his father’s disappearance. Chasing clues through the streets of Ryme City, the dynamic duo soon discover a devious plot that poses a threat to the Pokémon universe.”

Detective Pikachu is set to release May 10, 2019 with Rob Letterman directing.
