Check Out Henry Cavill Rocking the Golden Age Superman Suit

This post has a dual purpose. One is to show off this cool fan made photo of Henry Cavill in the original Superman suit. The other is to gently help remind you that we already have the perfect person playing Superman and there should not be a question about who should be playing him next.

Point number one, here is Cavill wearing the Superman suit from the June 1938 Action Comics #1. Artist Dalton Barrett brought this beauty to life like only a true fan could. Check out his Instagram post below and let us know what you think.

Point number two, I know there have been all of these rumors that Cavill is going to be replaced and blah blah blah. Look, if you are judging him based on what Zach Snyder did with the character, then I can’t really blame you. The guy was still high on his success of The Watchmen. Unfortunately for him Superman is not in The Watchmen and should not be treated as such. Superman is the light in the darkness, he is the counter point to Batman. He doesn’t kill and he does everything he can to keep from destroying major cities. Two major rules violated by Mister Snyder and his trip into ruining the DCEU. All I am saying is that no matter how bad the scripts were, Cavill still cut the perfect form of what the Man of Steel should be. I don’t think we should be so quick to dump the dude. If any of you come at me with the whole mustache thing, let me let you in on a little secret; THAT WASN’T HIS FAULT! I feel that if we drop him now, we are missing out on seeing what he could do with a well written script.

In the end, what is going to happen is going to happen. Fans are going to feel what they are going to feel and that is an ever changing thing. I feel that we shouldn’t be so quick to jump onto the Henry Cavill ruined Superman bandwagon. Let me know what you think, I know you will.
