The battle of Crait is by far one of the most visually impressive scenes in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and when I initially saw it I had assumed it was all done with CGI. Now I'm learning that's not the case, and it took a lot of special effects guys a lot of attempts to create that red effect just the way director Rian Johnson wanted it. Check out some of those attempts in the video below, which will be featured in the Blu-Ray for Star Wars: The Last Jedi on March 27th:
