Check Out Karl Urban’s New Look for Skurge in THOR: RAGNAROK
Karl Urban was awesomely cast in the role of Skurge the Executioner in Taika Waititi’s Thor: Ragnarok, and today we have a photo from the actor that shows us Urban’s drastic new look for the role. As you can see, Urban is definitely looking like a complete badass. It will be cool to see what his costume looks like. Skurge is an Asgardian warrior who was an enemy of Thor in the comics but eventually fought alongside Thor. In a previous interview Urban talked about the character saying:
“The character is fantastic. He's got a great arc to him. Obviously, I can't say too much about it, but I'm really thrilled to be a part of the Marvel universe and to be working on Thor: Ragnarok."
We saw some incredibly cool concept art for the film at Comic-Con last week. A lot of it focused on Thor and Hulk. Thor had short hair and Hulk was wearing his Planet Hulk battle armor, and we even saw an image of him battling a giant flaming beast! It was pretty awesome.
Thor: Ragnarok started shooting on July 4th, 2016, at Village Roadshow Studios in Oxenford, Gold Coast, Queensland in Australia. Filming will also take place throughout Queensland, in Brisbane, and in Sydney, and is expected to continue through October 2016.
The movie will be released in theaters on November 3rd, 2017.
