Shows like Portlandia make jokes that Oregon is full of hipsters and super weird shit, and I used to think that was all exaggerated. Now that I've seen the state's commissioned tourism ad that reimagines the entire state as an anime, I'm not so sure the show is really all that off-base. I'm not knocking it! I would LOVE for my state to do an anime tourism ad, and I'd be lying if I said I watched this ad and didn't want to visit Oregon after watching. Not because it was accurately depicting the state, mind you, but who wouldn't want to visit a state with the balls to release something like this?! Check it out below:
