Check Out RECLAIM THE WILD, a Fan-Made ZELDA Tabletop RPG
The Legend of Zelda: Reclaim the Wild is a fan-made tabletop RPG system designed to put players in the Zelda universe. The game is designed to mostly emulate Breath of the Wild, but it can be used for any of the Zelda game worlds. I’ve been looking through it, and it looks fun.
From what I can see, this isn’t for everyone, though. For example, I don’t like how many traits and skills there are (24) that you have to put points into to increase. If you’re going to have a point buy system, I think it needs to be about half that many, max, but that’s also my opinion.
I also find it interesting that races don’t have a straight increase to certain abilities. Some races do provide some bonuses, but those bonuses are typically tied to a certain aspect. For instance, Gorons get a bonus to their Athletics when lifting things. It’s a cool take in my opinion. The main races include Hylian, Sheikah, Gerudo, Zora, Rito, and Goron, but there are also secondary races, such as Deku and Twili.
I have not had the chance to play with these rules, so I cannot give a definitive opinion, however, you can get it for free from their website if you want to look over it yourself. You might want to hurry too, as I can’t imagine Nintendo being too happy about all this once they find out.
