The Beatles Star in THE LORD OF THE RINGS Thanks to Deepfake Technology

Back in the 1960s, the Beatles wanted to make a film adaptation of The Lord of the Rings with Stanley Kubrick at the helm. Well, Alex Skorkin has taken that idea and looked at what it could’ve maybe been. Using deepfake technology, Skorkin has inserted the four musicians into a brief video using Peter Jackson’s masterpiece as the jumping point with each member playing the character they desired back in the day. John Lennon is Gollum, Paul McCartney is Frodo, Ringo Starr is Sam, and George Harrison is Gandalf. This is a trippy video.

What if Stanley Kubrick and J.R.R. Tolkien would have agreed to do this project with The Beatles in the late 1960s
