Check Out the Online World of U from the Upcoming Anime Film BELLE in New Music Video

Belle is Mamoru Hosoda’s follow-up film to Mirai and is releasing this week in Japan. To introduce fans to the world of U, Millennium Parade and Kaho Nakamura (the voice of Belle) released a music video for the song “U.”

The film follows a rural Japanese high schooler named Suzu who spends her free time as the smash hit singer Belle in an online world. The world that we get to see in this music video is pretty crazy with lots of modern and urban flavor, but plenty of fantastical elements and creatures thrown in to really spice things up. The song itself is pretty fun to listen to and is going to make its way onto plenty of playlists.

Belle will be available to U.S. audiences later this year thanks to GKids, but no exact release date has been given. I’ve included a trailer for the film below.
