Check Out These Alternate Designs For The Title Villain of X-MEN: APOCALYPSE

For me, one of the most disappointing aspects of X-Men: Apocalypse was seeing an actor as charismatic and charming as Oscar Isaac buried under layers of makeup that essentially stifled his performance (the script didn't do him any favors, either). Fans were comparing him to Power Rangers villain Ivan Ooze since his earliest reveal, and I don't think the public perception of him ever recovered from there.

Artist Jared Krichevsky (via ComicBook) had a chance to design the character and now he's released some of those alternate designs on his website for us all to see. It's interesting to imagine how and if the movie might have been different had Apocalypse's look been altered, and I have to say, I think I prefer Krichevsky's work to what we ultimately got in the final cut.

During the filming of Days of Future Past I got to take a stab at designing Apocalypse.
Age of Apocalypse was on of my favorite X-Men series and I was a huge fan of the 90's toon, so this was a lot of fun to do.
