Check Out this Incredible POKEMON Fan Art That Plays with the Types of the Original Starters
Fan art can be incredible and many times it gives us things that are just as cool if not cooler than the original content. One example is some fan art from Reddit user abz-art.
This artist has recently shared some amazing art that includes the final evolutions of the original starters (Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise) imagined with swapped typings. Venusaur becomes a Water-type, Charizard is now Grass-type, and Blastoise is a Fire-type.
The art is incredible with Venusaur’s flower turning into more of a coral reef, Charizard’s wings are branches and leaves, and Blastoise has a volcano on his back! I love this art and so I dug through some of his history and found he did the same type of swapping for the legendary birds: Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres. Abz-art has also drawn some really cool ideas for potential evolutions of Eevee. Oh, and Pichu was turned into a Dragon-type mouse.
Check out the starters and some of my favorites below.
